Pato’s background in science cultivated his focus on the psychological effect of art, chiefly the way humans respond to its various elements including color, style, content, and structure. After working for many years as an artist himself before moving into the studio side, he now thrives on the business and curatorial aspect of the art world, attracted to the unique value of every piece he sells and its ability to flourish in the most suitable environment.
Pato takes a scientific approach, employing visual perception and neuroaesthetics as a means to understanding art and advising clients.

Marcos Nadal received his degree in Psychology from the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain) in 2000, and his Ph.D. in Psychology: Human Evolution and Cognition from the same university in 2007. From 2012 to 2015 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Basic Psychology and Research Methods of the University of Vienna. MICHAEL R. SPICHER, PhD PHILOSOPHY
Michael works as a writer, researcher, editor, and philosopher. He has researched, written, and taught about issues in art and aesthetics for over a decade, earning a PhD in philosophy—philosophy of art, aesthetics, and political philosophy—from the University of South Carolina. As an academic, he has published articles on beauty, taste, aesthetic experience, and state support of the arts.
In addition to his own writing projects, he currently serves as an editor for the Leonardo Electronic Almanac (published by MIT Press) and as a contributing associate for Createquity, an arts think tank and online publication.
